Step 1. Understand what’s on the exam

The exam guide contains a list of topics that may be assessed in the beta exam.

Review the exam guide to determine if your knowledge aligns with the topics on the exam.

Step 2. Refresh your knowledge

If you have knowledge gaps, we recommend reading the training guide and exploring he WordPress VIP Learn courses.

The Learn courses highlight any topic areas that are WordPress VIP platform specific.

Step 3. Prepare with sample questions

Evaluate your readiness with a short practice quiz.

Step 4. Choose the exam delivery method

The Advanced Professional WordPress Developer exam is delivered globally at Kryterion’s global test center network as well as online through Kryterion’s online proctoring (OLP) service, Webassessor.

Decide whether to take the exam remotely or at a test center (locate a test center near you).

Please review the Behaviours to Consider support page to confirm that your exam environment meets the proctoring requirements. For example, ensure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet space free from interruptions or people walking past.

Please review the testing requirements for both online‑proctored and in‑person exams to ensure you are fully prepared.

We also recommend reading the Beta Test Taker Terms, which will be presented before you purchase and begin the exam.

Schedule Exam

Access Webassessor to create an account and schedule the exam.

* Invited beta testers will receive a voucher to access the beta exam.

  1. Create a new account. Please ensure that your name matches the ID you will use to verify yourself before taking the exam.

  2. After logging in, go to the Register for an Exam tab and select the Advanced Professional WordPress Developer Beta Certification Exam.

    Choose your preferred delivery method—online or onsite proctored and purchase the exam. As a beta tester, you will receive a voucher that fully covers the exam fee.


3. After purchase, schedule your exam.

4. Once your purchase is complete, you may schedule your exam.

In good time before your exam, please complete the three steps outlined above. The exam will require a dual‑camera setup for security purposes, and you can find detailed instructions here:
